Dips, hills and the sites and sounds of
this classic coaster make Blue Streak so memorable. This 1964
attraction still has riders waiting in lines. That’s the real test of
time. People don’t ride it because they are afraid of the steel
behemoths located throughout the park, they ride it because it’s a great
coaster. The Blue Streak has always found a way into my
conversations about Cedar Point and more people recognize that name than any
other ride at Cedar Point. You might think, "duh, its been around the
longest" I think not. I believe its because Blue Streak is a
great coaster, and so does everyone I talk to. Designed and built by
the Philadelphia Toboggan Company who, incidentally are the same people who
brought you The Beast at King's Island. So you know they mean business. |
